Jabaara is chasing the Listed Edinburgh Gin Queen Of Scots British EBF Fillies’ Stakes at Musselburgh for the second year running.

Trained in Newmarket by Roger Varian and ridden by Silvestre De Sousa, she won convincingly by two-lengths twelve months ago before going on to finish second in Group 1 and Group 3 company.

Fiery Lucy, trained near Navan in Ireland by Gavin Cromwell, could be an interesting rival to Jabaara. She recorded a third runner-up berth in Group 3 company when chasing home Vera’s Secret at Leopardstown last month and her trainer is two from two with his Flat runners at the East Lothian venue.

The other feature race, also worth £50,000, is the Edinburgh Cup, a handicap over 1m 1f.

Paul Mulrennan, last year’s successful jockey aboard Watcha Matey, bids for back-to-back wins on We Dare To Dream.

The David O’Meara-trained runner was second on Musselburgh’s Easter Saturday card in the Royal Mile Handicap to impressive all-the-way scorer Thunder Wonder, who re-opposes under top-weight.

Regalian, a Newmarket raider from the powerful William Haggas stable, is equipped with first-time cheek-pieces and is one of two rides for Cieren Fallon.
