IAIN JARDINE is looking forward to keeping his good run going with his three runners on a sold-out Ladies Day card at Musselburgh.
“The horses have been running well all summer and long may it continue,” reported the Carrutherstown trainer, who saddled a personal-best 12 winners on the Flat in June plus another eight in July.
“We’ve also had the odd jumps winner and we have chances with our runners at Musselburgh as well as the ones we run later on at Thirsk and Haydock.”
Jardine is double-handed with previous course winners Falcon Nine and Gemini Man in the opening Champagne Pommery Brut Rose Handicap.
He is also represented by recent York scorer Jonny Concrete in the Champagne Pommery Cuvee Louise Gold Cup Handicap.
The seven-furlong contest also features hat-trick seeking Eagle Bay and Katie Scott’s six-time Musselburgh winner Gweedore.
Jer Batt, a gallant third to subsequent Group 1 winner American Affair in last year’s Scottish Sprint Cup, shoulders top-weight in the Champagne Pommery Brut Royal Handicap over the same course and distance.
