LEDNIKOV is after more course and distance success in the Central Taxis Handicap at Musselburgh on Friday.
Trained by Ivan Furtado at Newark in Nottinghamshire and a neck winner at the East Lothian venue just over twelve months ago, he faces eight rivals in the 1m 4f event.
Furtado said: “He’s very versatile and genuine. He was suited by the step up in trip at Musselburgh last year and has won twice since at Southwell.”
There is plenty of home-trained opposition to Lednikiov led by five-time Flat course scorer Smart Lass, trained by Iain Jardine, who has also won over hurdles at the track.
