Following her 50/1 shock earlier in the week, Katie Scott is after more success with Luna A Inbhir Nis in the concluding sprint at Musselburgh.
The filly, whose name means ‘moon over Inverness’, reappears under a 6lb penalty in the Weatherbys Global Stallion App Handicap, four days after her victory in the last race at Ayr on Monday.
“She won well and there was no fluke about it,” Scott said. “It was the first time she’s really been in a race as it was a match she won at Newcastle. We might as well go again as you don’t know what the Handicapper might do to her.”
One of the rivals facing Luna A Inbhir Nis is What What What, trained by Mick and David Easterby, and a winner when sent off 3/1 favourite on his last run at Newcastle in March.
The £12,000 feature race is the Kirkton Controls Ltd Handicap over five-furlongs.
Callum Shepherd, who has only had one previous winner at Musselburgh, has six mounts on the card including on George Scott-trained top-weight Moulin Booj. Newmarket based Scott has also only enjoyed one winner at the East Lothian venue.
