LINDA PERRATT is hoping for another big run from bang-in-form Sixcor at Musselburgh on Monday night.

Her East Kilbride raider faces seven rivals in the Musselburgh Racecourse Celebrates Pride 2022 Handicap over five furlongs.

Formerly trained by Mick Channon, the gelding has been with his present connections since last spring and Perratt said: “The key to his great run of form has been the application of cheekpieces and dropping him back to five-furlongs.

“Since then he’s gone up nearly a stone for his two wins at Ayr and a very close second at Musselburgh in between. So, fingers crossed, he’ll go close again tonight as he’s already shown he can handle the track.”

The opposition include Mick Appleby-trained Val De Travers, the winner of two races this term and who has been sent off favourite on all four runs in 2022.

There is also other Scottish interest courtesy of Jim Goldie’s pair Rory and Sound Of Iona along with Amazing Alba, trained by Ewan Whillans.

The evening gets underway with the British Stallion Studs EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes which sees Impulsive Reaction bid to build on a promising 50-1 debut for Yorkshire trainer Tim Easterby at Thirsk in late May.

Ex-Joseph O’Brien Award Dancer goes in the concluding Start Your Racing TV Free Trial Handicap as he tries to defy an absence since winning at Newcastle in October on his debut for the Grant Tuer stable.
