Iain Jardine is hoping his recent hurdle winner Ravenscraig Castle can carry on the good work as he reverts to the Flat at Musselburgh.

.

After his emphatic breakthrough success over timber at Perth nine-days ago, the almost-white gelding lives up in the Edinburgh Childrens Hospital Charity over two-miles.

“He had a big weight at Perth but he was quite impressive and hopefully it will have done his confidence the world of good,” Jardine said. “You always hope that lift can carry on as he goes back on the Flat and, because of his colour, he’s a very popular horse.”

Dianne Sayer-trained Simple Star, also a recent winner over hurdles at Perth, shoulders top-weight and is a two-scorer on the Flat at the East Lothian venue.

Brazilian Belle has a 6lb penalty as she bids to follow up her comfortable win at Thirsk seven-days ago in the Hays Travel Holiday Outside The Box.

Trained at Darlington by Michael Dods, she faces a tough test form the likes of in-form Miss Brazen and course and distance winner Ready Freddie Go.
