BELLARCHI, who has only lost once at Musselburgh, is after her fifth win at the East Lothian venue in the Never Standing Still Handicap.

Three of her wins have come over this seven-furlong trip and she also scored over a mile at the track on a Sky Bet Sunday Series card last month.

Trainer Grant Tuer said: “She’s drawn well this time in stall one as she had a poor wide draw at Chester but still managed to run on strong all the way through the line after being slowly away.

“I feel she is still in good form so there might still might be improvement to come. A career best effort is required to win but she loves the track.”

The opposition to Bellarchi includes Persuasion, a two-time course and distance scorer in a Sky Bet Sunday Series race for David and Nicola Barron last month and in the Silver Arrow last Easter.

Katie Scott’s six-time course winner Gweedore has won the Silver Arrow twice and has bagged thirteen races in total for his Borders trainer.

The most valuable race is the £30,000 British Stallion Studs EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.

Tim Easterby is double-handed with Furturra and Caitlin Aine, who have both been busy sine the start oft he turf campaign with three runs apiece.
