NICKY RICHARDS is expecting a big run from Rickety Gate in the Bet At racingtv.com Novices’ Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh.

The Greystoke raider, who faces ten rivals, has been absent since finishing sixth at Kelso in November.

Richards said: “He won nicely at Carlisle in the autumn and has gone up a few pounds so we’ve got our stable conditional Conor Rabbitt on him.

“This is about his ideal trip and the ground never gets too soft round Musselburgh.”

Claret Dabbler could supply Harriet Graham and Gary Rutherford with their first winner in the 2m 4f handicap chase.

The likely favourite was also sent off market leader when just pipped into second place at Catterick towards the end of December.

Scotland’s first training partnership have only had a handful of runners since first teaming up on February 1st.

Brian Hughes is eyeing riding 200 winners this season and he will fancy his chances aboard First Account for Keith Dalgleish in the feature race.

The Carluke visitor, a two-time scorer at the East Lothian venue, chased home Pookie Pekan over three miles here in early January.

In the novices’ handicap chase Lastofthecosmics and Emirates De Catana go head to head to try and keep the prize in Scotland for Iain Jardine and Lucinda Russell.
