Recent course winners Lauren Young and Trojan Sun are after more Musselburgh success in the Platform Interior Solutions Handicap.

The pair teamed up to score recently over two miles and now bid to repeat that success over 2m 2f with just four rivals in their way in the £10,000 Class 5 event.

Trojan Sun’s trainer Jim Goldie said: “He’s got the penalty to carry but going back to Musselburgh seemed to bring him back to form last time. That’s where all his wins have come including in the Portobello Cup over course and distance last August.”

Unlike Trojan Son, Donald McCain’s Lunar Power has never raced at Musselburgh on the Flat although he did appear over jumps once when pulling up in the 2024 Hogmaneigh Handicap Hurdle. The closest he has come to winning since coming over from Ireland was when pipped by a short-head at Thirsk 17-days ago.

In-form Goldie also saddles two other last-time-out Musselburgh winners in the shape of Ana Emaraaty and Jm Jhingree, who combined with Trojan Sun to supply him with yet another treble ten days ago .

After what was his turf breakthrough win, Ana Emaraaty lines up in the opening Morris & Spottiswood Group Handicap while, following his first win for Goldie, Jm Jhingree steps up in class to tackle the Lens Self Storage Handicap.
