Gordon Brown – Race Reporter

Gordon has a wealth of experience of racing through his background in the written and broadcast media. His current principle role is reporting and supporting the scene in Scotland on Racing TV and relaying the latest news with Scottish angles.

Linda Perratt struck with Retirement Beckons in the opening apprentice contest and the East Kilbride trainer is hopeful of more success at Musselburgh on Wednesday with Sixcor.

The four-year-old has joint top-weight in the Racing TV Profits Returned To Racing Handicap.

Miss Perratt said: “He’s already had a good season and hopefully they will have had a bit of rain which would help him. Five-furlongs with the cheekpieces on seems to be what he needs and the horses are in great order at the moment.”

Katie Scott-trained Gweedore is partnered by Billy Garritty in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap over 7f.

The Galashiels trainer said: “It’s a big ask with 10st on his back but he’s won four times at Musselburgh and he always goes well there.”
