IAIN JARDINE is looking to end the Hamilton Park season on a high with Innse Gall in the Bardykes Farm Nursery School Handicap.

The Dumfriesshire raider faces nine rivals in the £20,000 contest, which is one of the feature events on the track’s final card of 2022.

Jardine said: “We’ve enjoyed a decent year at Hamilton with eight winners and hopefully he will go close to giving us another one! This horse has been in tremendous form with wins at Carlisle and Ripon and he wasn’t beaten far on the final night of Racing League at Newcastle either.”

The likely market leader is Indemnify, whose Newmarket trainer Roger Varian (3/5 with his course runners this year) is in fabulous form at the moment.

Tom Marquand has been out of luck with his previous eight rides at the Lanarkshire venue and he partners Roudemental for Scots-born Cheshire handler Hugo Palmer.

The jockey’s only other mount is aboard Spanish for William Haggas in the Equi’s Exquisitely Irresistible Ice-Cream Fillies’ Handicap.

A nicely-bred three-year-old, she makes her debut in handicap company as a comfortable maiden success at Kempton earlier this month.

Jim Goldie and Paul Mulrennan, the leading trainer and jockey at Hamilton Park for 2022, team up in several races including in this with Sound Of Iona.
