Tim Easterby is double-handed in the feature race on the big Saints & Sinners charity evening card at Hamilton Park.
The Great Habton trainer saddles Hollie Doyle-ridden Monks Dream and Vince L’Amour, partnered by Joanna Mason, in the £22,000 Patersons Of Greenoakhill Handicap over five-furlongs.
Also in the line-up, at a fixture that dates back to 1965, is impressive Lingfield scorer Kalik, who is the first course runner for second-season Newmarket trainer Michael Keady.
During his riding days, Easterby has fond memories of beating the Princess Royal into second place when he was aboard Quinlan Terry in the opening amateur jockeys’ contest back in 1989. Now staged over 1m 5f, it is a race his son Thomas and daughter Emily have also won.
Thomas bids for another success, this time on Billy No Mates, for Darlington-based Michael Dods.
Pomme Pomme, a first ride at Hamilton Park for apprentice Rose Dawes, bids to extend her winning sequence to six-in-a-row in the Racing TV Fillies’ Handicap.
Dawes has been in the saddle for the three most recent strikes and the top-weight has a 6lb penalty for romping home at Haydock Park five-days ago.
