Gordon Brown – Race Reporter

Gordon has a wealth of experience of racing through his background in the written and broadcast media. His current principle role is reporting and supporting the scene in Scotland on Racing TV and relaying the latest news with Scottish angles.

Michael Dods is after more success with Taygar in the Buys Tickets For The Races @Hamilton-Park.co.uk Handicap.

The Darlington raider, who shoulders a 5lb penalty, bids for a quick follow up from her victory at Ayr on Monday.

“Things didn’t exactly go to plan at Ayr but she still won so we were delighted,” Dods said. “She has won at five-furlongs but six seems to be her trip these days and these sprinters take their racing pretty well.”

The race also contains two course and distance winners in the shape of Top Juggler and Catherine Chroi while Katie Scott saddles Sacred Falls, who was a close second at Carlisle recently.

The card gets underway with the JFM Electrical Apprentice Handicp in which Linda Perratt is double-handed with Sixcor and Colour Code.

Sixcor is partnered by Kaiya Fraser, who is on the brink on his maiden century of winners.

There are three last-time-out course winners in the Apex Traffic Management Design Handicap over 1m 5f.

Spanish Hustle (Jim Goldie), Two Auld Pals (Lucinda Russell) and Talismans Times (Ed Bethell) all won recently by a variety of margins at the South Lanarkshire venue.
