Ayr races again tonight (Tuesday) with the seven race card due off at 5.10pm with the Watch On Racing TV Apprentice Handicap.

Jonny Peate partners Linda Perratt’s Retirement Beckons and  Amie Waugh takes the mount on Shine On Brendan and another to note is the Grant Tuer trained Great Ridley which will be ridden by the apprentice find of the season Ryan Sexton.

The feature race of the night is the Racing TV Profits Returned To Ayr Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over seven furlongs at 7.25pm and nine line up here.

Breaking Light, trained by Karl Burke and the mount of Sam James, ran second here to Merlin’s Lady last August and that form is good as is the second place Charlie and Mark Johnston’s Espresso posted last October at Leicester.
