SIZING POTTSIE, likely to start a hot-favourite, is just one of the stars on parade as the curtain rises on Ayr’s autumn jumps campaign with a seven-race Monday card.

Co-owned by several locally-born friends, the Grade 2 winning chaser faces ten rivals in the  Watch Racing Online Free With Coral Novices’ Hurdle.

Formerly trained in Ireland by Jessica Harrington, he is now based in Somerset with David Pipe having changed hands for £95,000 at the spring sales.

His new owners include Sean Tracey and Kenny Alexander and he appears to have Nicky Richards-trained Maughold Head, who carries the colours of the late Trevor Hemmings, to beat.

The feature race is the £15,400 Coral Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase in which all four runners are making their debuts over fences.

Dual champion jockey Brian Hughes partners Since Day One for Donald McCain while Hawick handler Ewan Whillans flies the flag for Scotland with Corrieben Reiver.
