PAUL MULRENNAN bids for a fifth success in the £70,000 Listed feature race at Ayr as he rides Billie Be Quick for trainer Jessica Harrington.

The Irish raider, from the yard responsible for last year’s 50/1 winner Saratoga Special, is among another competitive line-up for the Unite George Ramsay Celebration EBF Land O’Burns Fillies’ Stakes over five-furlongs.

Mulrennan has enjoyed plenty of success in the past aboard Marsha (2016), Que Amoro (2019), Makarova (2023) and in 2024 with Azure Blue, who dead-headed with Beautiful Diamond, the top-rated runner in this year’s race on a BHA mark of 115.

The Land O’Burns Stakes, awarded Listed status when resurrected over five-furlongs in 2004, has a rich history of producing future Group 1 winners with the likes of Marsha and Makarova just two of several mares and fillies that have gone on to score in the highest grade.

It is also the race in which the current course record of 55.68 was set when Look Busy scotched home under Danny Tudhope in 2008.

On a strong supporting card, Oneforthegutter attempts to go place better than twelve months again in the £40,000 Unite Natalie Egan Celebration Handicap (For The Johnstone Rose Bowl).

The Ian Williams-trained Midlands raider, another fancied Mulrennan ride, is 2lbs lower compared to when beaten a length into second by Insanity last year.
