I’M A GAMBLER was a game winner of the £20,000 feature race at Hamilton Park on Wednesday night.
Shouldering top-weight of 9st 7lbs, the 6/4 favourite saw off Final Account by a neck in the Weatherbys Bloodstock Pro 2-Y-O Series Final Nursery Handicap over six-furlongs.
Peggy Sioux produced a nice debut performance to land the opening EBF Novice Stakes For Kevin Stott and Kevin Ryan.
Winning jockey Stott said: “She took a little while to get organised coming down the hill but she will have learnt plenty from that. She’s quite pacey and beat horses with experience including the second who is rated 86. I think she could have a bright future.
“She was very impressive and gave me a great feel. She was going well at home and we expected her to go close.”
