BILLY GARRITTY is looking forward to more success on Platinumcard in the feature race at Hamilton Park on Tuesday.

Trained by Keith Dalgleish, the Carluke raider faces eleven rivals in the £20,000 Book Our On-Site Hotel Scottish Trophy, a handicap staged over 1m 1f.

Garritty, who has ridden the six-year-old on every one of his five starts on the Flat, said: “We’ve won three times together now and I think he’s still improving. He won his maiden easily over course and distance in June at 80/1 and has since won two handicaps at Ayr over a mile and a quarter.

“I don’t have a lot to do with him away from the racecourse and Gary Bartley does a great job on him at home. Looking to the future, I reckon there are even bigger and better things to come.”

Mark Johnston, the successful trainer in  2013 & 2014, saddles Dream With Me while Iain Jardine’s Tricorn bids to regain the winning thread after completing a four-timer in May and June.

Legendary Day, twice a winner already this season, is a rare Hamilton Park runner for Hughie Morrison, who has a 25 per-cent strike-rate (5/20) with the previous representatives from his Berkshire yard.

Hambleton-based trainer Kevin Ryan, whose course tally of 109 winners is the highest he has recorded on any British turf track, sends up Ryan’s Party to contest the opening EBF Maiden Stakes (A Hamilton Park 2yo Series Qualifier).

A 200,000gns purchase from the breeze-up sales, he returns to the scene of his second-place debut effort in May following a mid-season gelding operation.
